Join EERI for a webinar featuring the authors of two award-winning papers from our journal Earthquake Spectra! The webinar will showcase the papers selected for EERI's 2023 Outstanding Paper Award and the 2023 Graduate Student Paper Prize.
The 2023 Outstanding Paper Award winner is "Why AI models for predicting soil liquefaction have been ignored, plus some that shouldn’t be,” by Brett Maurer and Morgan Sanger. The 2023 Graduate Student Paper Prize was awarded to Gerald Palomino Romani et al. for the paper "Evaluating post-earthquake functionality and surge capacity of hospital emergency departments using discrete event simulation." In this webinar, the authors will present and discuss their papers with members of the Spectra editorial team and answer questions from the audience.
